I am a articles working under a chratered accountant

The following facts are to be noticed and

The rules of Articles are

Per Week 36 Hours that comes to 52 weeks * 3 years(because of 180 days of leave which can be taken)* 36 hours (the maximum the excess if any which can be deducted)= 5616 hours.

But dear members and sirs I have worked for 2.5 years for a time of 8 hours per day I have even done 100 hours extra due to my ITT period. prior to my registration i have done 40 Days also.

based on the above i have already worhed for (52+52+52/2)*42+100(FOR ITT)+40*8/2 (for the additional work prior to registration)=5720 hours

So can any body teel me did my articles is over

WE ARE IN INDIA

practically speaking, we have to SEE WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED and not what no. of hours we have spent.

so, if your Principal is giving lot of learning opportunity for you, just IGNORE the fact that you have spent excess hours.

well u hav surely worked harder than most of us, but i doubt ur CA will let u take an off, u'll still hav to go to office everyday for the remaining days irrespective of the hours worked.

Your principal will not see the no. of hours u worked.. but will make u work till the last date of completion of your articleship... so hard luck..

hey dude thanks a lot for the reply.

I agree that not trhe hours worked matter but the knowledge i gained matters But sorry to say that there is nothing to lkearn in my office according to me. I request you to tell me any provisions so that i can take the remaining six months leave . Any regulations from the institute regarding this
