A religious trust is registered under section 12A of the Income tax Act and also under FCRA. It has received a notice from RTI commissioner seeking some information which is asked by one of the citizen. My question is whether religious trust is comming under RTI Act? if yes to what extent? please update with some info.

Such Religious trust is not a state within the meaning of RTI Act so no demand supplying info can be raised.
Only government and govt controlled organisations comes under RTI.
