Tds on non- resident

10 March 2014 Dear Sir

My company employed employees in Singapore in our branch. Employess are working in singpore for last two years. salary in-respect of these employees paid by branch by receiving the same from India.

My question whether, we need to deduct the tds in-respect of salary paid to these employees. if it is yes, under what section TDS to be deducted.

10 March 2014 then sec 192 is applicable as tds needs to be deducted if employees are originally from india.

Since Employees are non-resident as per provisions of Section 6 of IT Act 1961,
and as per Sec 9 of the income tax Act, any income earned and received outside India are not liable to tax in India in the hands of non-resident.
How to deduct the tax u/s 192.

10 March 2014 u can refer sec 192 it says it applies to non resident also else sec 195 would have been applicable...
