25 April 2016 1)what is the process to sell the equity shares of private co. held as investments by a private company?
2) is there any way to reduce the capital gain tax?

25 April 2016 01. shares of a private company are subject to certain restriction transfer; put forth by the said private company. Subject to that, one can freely sell such shares.
02. No any exemption per se to reduce capital gain tax

26 April 2016 Sir, these shares of private company are held by another private company and if the investor do not anymore wants to hold the shares then whats the procedure to sell those share held as investments?

27 April 2016 the normal procedure to be followed. Try to understand : private companies shares are subject to certain conditions for transfer. These conditions are set out in the articles of association of the said company. Subject to those conditions, you as a private company, are free to sell the shares.
