Fortunate are those who are blessed with the association of wise people, true genius, unbiased & pure hearted souls.

A famous saying "few minutes spend with wise man is more than reading hundreds of books", but never heard for or experienced the saying vice versa i.e., for wealthy man or powerful etc, that is why real fortunate are those who in their life time are blessed with walking by the side of a wise man or chance to sit with them, stroll with them or associated in any other way.

In life we are either going to be guided or misguided. And, in this age of 5G's, where the superficial and sugar-coated friendships have stolen most of our productive times and there is no time available and we are not even so alert to check on and search for true associations.

Today where the so-called motivators, intellectuals and writers, they talk in general and many a times talk utopian ideas and young minds instead of making constructive contribution with what their skills are get diverted to and are far away from ground realities of their talent and resources and at the end get into state of anxiety, depression and meaningless life.

Also, of these peoples who becomes our inspirations and role models, and we without being aware of how messed, indiscipline, meaningless is their life and whose character are questionable, then how can they help us to go up in ladder which needs discipline and purity of character.

Then how would we be able to get right mentor? I also don't know, but in Kalam's biography when asked to Kalam 'How does one find the guru?', Kalam replied, 'Let each man take path according to his capacity, understanding and temperament. His true guru will meet him along that path. I was doing my work to the best of my ability and respecting my situation, and Dr. Sarabhai came into my life'. So, here we as youth can continue with what Kalam conveyed.

Who Guides You: Maps your Journey

There is no fault of us, but in these times, which is flooded with paid promotions, it becomes difficult to find the true things and things of real importance, and, also hardly anybody wants or interested in finding what's best for him consciously.

Once was going through a wonderful article from the pen of Prof. Arun Tiwari titled "Vanity Fair", wherein Prof. Tiwari mentions

"Providence saved me, when I found APJ Abdul Kalam, who stripped me off my false notions about my self and put me on spiritual track, he taught me about the negative power of Iblis (Satan) on the prowl in mortal world and how he snares people by inflating their egos by false praises and bestowing upon them undeserving appreciation and rewards………. Thanks to Kalam's presence in my life that I remained modest and grounded".

So, now how and where we gonna go, where we all flooded with information or mis-information. who knows ?

Hitler once said "if you speak the same lie 100 times, then 100th time it will be accepted as truth". We be able to connect this saying with what is happening in paid promotions, its similar.

What we cannot see today here is that, the age we are in, is first of all more complex and disturbance is at its peak (anxiety, depressions etc. i.e. inner disturbance), so how we gonna get the right mentor, who goes the way & shows the way, who lives the way & believe the way and whose focus is broader & not self centered.

What Prof. Tiwari penned down in his article takes us to clue that how Kalam's association helped him to Stay humble, honest, modest and true in life.

So, first we need to have quest for associating with the wise, great & ignited souls.

Now, where can we look at to find out one, & do they exist?
Yes, they exist. How can we say they exist, so, for that we look into Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, what he said 'Today we live in the society, not because of technological and scientific advancements, but because of saints (wise people) who live in society'.

Yes, they exists in our surroundings somewhere, but may be not as popular as Kalam or Mandela or Sardar Patel. Also, they exist through their work and contribution they have to nation building and also through great books, …...books…. how?

Look at Kalam, Kalam said 'I learned power of reasoning and thinking from Socrates, I learned power of non-violence from Gandhi, learned power of forgiveness from Mandela, and power of faith in God from Pramukh Swami Maharaj'.

How could he learn from the people that existed before he was and whom he rarely met, but through books and work they had done.

Kalam over the 5 decades have habit of reading before going to bed in night and over this period of 50 years he had got decent library with 250 books.

Fortunate are us who are born in times of Kalam and know much about him.

If we throw some light on history. We definitely would come to know that how and in what way our guiding force mold our destiny.

In Mahabharat, where Duryodhana was guided by Shakuni, who was wicked and unwise. Even after being so mighty and having so powerful army, Kauravas lost battle, Kingdom, lost their lives, respect and everything.

On the other hand, Pandavas even after having small army and not so mighty as that of Kauravas, yet won the battle, won the Kingdom, and respected everywhere. Because Lord Shri Krishna was on their side and received guidance from Krishna.

Also, how Narendranath Association with Ramkrishna Paramhansa transformed him and whom we respectedly and lovingly call "Swami Vivekanand".

How much alert we are when buying vegetables costing Rs 20/- , Rs 50/- kg, we search so well and look through and take out bests out of lot and if not satisfied we move to next or leave from their.

But, when we directly or indirectly decided or are being guided by somebody, we should at least consciously check, whether or not shall I allow somebody or something to have impact on my life or not.

We are also aware about Mahatma Gandhi, that Gandhiji always took his guidance from Shrimad Bhagvad Gita and said 'Thanks to Bhagvad Gita in my life, otherwise I would have been mad'.

It is very important for us to be associated and guided by the wise people, true and unbiased souls, if we really want to make the real progress and that will satisfy us.

People like Hitler will destroy us, but people like Mandela will construct us, People like Kalam will fire up your wings and People like Saddam Hussain will cut your wings.

Similar to what we eat has direct effect on our body, if we eat fresh hygienic food full with nutrition and Vitamins and daily exercise etc. will help keep our body fit and healthy.

In the same way words that we read & hear and thoughts we weave within which drives us are food for our soul, if your thoughts & people in our surroundings, that drives your mood etc. and we take inspirations from, If the people who inspires you are well mannered, humble to subordinates and juniors, their thoughts are constructive and who have broader view far away from self-centric, Who thinks good for others, who talks no ill of others, such an association will keep us healthy from within, strong and happy at the end.
