Being an employee/article assistant of a CA firm, You have to file numerous returns ,forms.

Here are some tips which might help you based on my experience.

1)To remove password protected ITR forms, you don't need a separate softwares. Simply open it with chrome, press Ctrl + P, and save it as pdf.

2) Declaration need not be filed by the assessee claiming deduction under section 80GG (Form 10BA). But for Claiming tax relief on salary arrears, don't forget to file Form 10E.

3) If your firm is not using any tax software's like winman, genius, saral tax office, kdk spectrum etc, download demo of Tax pro. Save client login details such as PAN, Password, date of birth such that only captcha is needed to log in to portal. But you cant generate computation statement in any tax software demo. There are no software cracks available other than Tally ERP 9. Don't screw up your computer.

4) For Audit report under section 44AB,import previous year xml and then edit it. There is no need of client's signature if he is not available. Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Account in Word, Excel Format, etc signed as "Sd/-" can be converted in to '.pdf' file and uploaded on the portal.

5) For insurance commission agent, When Commission Earned is Less than Rs 60,000, claim Adhoc deduction by showing it as expense. He is not eligible for presumptive taxation (ITR 4 is applicable).

6) No need to respond to Income Tax Demands of Less than Rs. 100

7) You can file ITR 1 and 4S directly online

8) Use java utility rather than excel. You can prefill basic info and TDS schedules in java utility. You can directly submit without generating xml.

9) While paying income tax, enter the income tax amount to be paid in the income tax field. You can leave surcharge, education cess, interest and penalty blank.

10) There is no need to fill balance sheet in ITR 4. P&L is enough.
