ICAI Issues Clarification on Alleged Data Breach
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued an official clarification addressing reports circulating on social media that alleged a breach of members' records, students' information and examination-related data.
According to the Institute, these claims are entirely false and have no factual basis. ICAI stated that the rumours being shared online are unverified and misleading, creating unnecessary concern among students, members, and other stakeholders associated with the profession.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has come across certain posts circulating on social media alleging breach of members'/ students' records and examination data. These unverified claims have caused concern and confusion among students, members and other stakeholders.
In this regard, ICAI clarifies that these claims are completely false, baseless and malicious. ICAI assures all its stakeholders that there has been no breach of members'/ students' records and examination data whatsoever as alleged or otherwise.
ICAI urges the stakeholders not to give any credence to such false and malicious propaganda in the social media platforms.
ICAI has in place strong and robust systems to protect all kinds of data and remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of data security.
Students, members and all stakeholders are therefore, advised not to believe such rumours and false campaigns in social media and requested to refer only to official communications issued by ICAI for authentic updates.
