The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that draft amendments to the CA Regulations, stemming from the proposed scheme of Education and Training, have received principal approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. These amendments are now open for public consultation for 30 days. Following this period, the Council will consider the feedback. An implementation scheme, including transition provisions for current students, will be developed, aiming to provide exemptions for subjects already cleared under the previous curriculum. Students are advised to continue studying the existing course material in the meantime.
