T.N Manoharan sir's book is student friendly as well as exam oriented....so i recommend it at IPCC level

Everybody will suggest you according to their experiences. I would say both are good. Just have a look at both the books and check which pattern is better for you. Ultimately it depends on you how you study it.

V.K.SINGHANIA is the best book for Taxation..

i suppose V.K. singhania is the best ...it provides a detailed conceptual study about the taxation.....i enjoy reading it and the book has finally made me fall in love wid tax.....

Singhania is best book for taxation,no question about that.But from examination point of view Manoharan's book is best.Because it helps in quick reference and user friendly.

Hey Manoharan book is really good and easy  to understand to concepts.....

everyone has his/her own choice relating to books 

u can buy any book manoharan,singhania or girish ahuja 

all u have to do urself

u can clear the exam even studying study mat

go for girish ahuja , because V K singhania is too deep & lenghty there is no need to take so much of pain .

if live in delhi & near by area then i would like to suggest you M K Gupta sir's notes becuase it is full of practical problmes & also contains bare act , & conceptual explanation in a very easy language .
