Well this is interesting. Assume you did not cast your vote on the occasion of Parliamentary elections. Will there be any legal action against you? Strictly speaking "NO". same lines apply here also
Now in almost all sectors aadhar card is a valid indentification of a particular person
-
Ex: For applying voter ID cards, Passport, Driving license, Pan Card,
-
For opening Bank Accounts (as per KYC Norms), PO Accounts
-
It acts as a valid proof in case of bus and train Journies when you book tickets online
-
To receive benefits of Govt. (for ex: Cash Tranfer scheme), etc., etc., etc.,
So, my dear friend if you dont have one immediately apply so as to enjoy the aforesaid benefits
Last but not least now you can apply and check your AAdhar status online or there is a seperate cell in collector and subcollector office in every state. It should be remembered that there is no dead line and age limit and it is a continuous process.
