We paid TDS on 8 Nov 2010. The due date was 7 Nov, that was a sunday. Is this a default. This shoudl not be a default when we used to pay taxes physically at bank counters, but in this electronic payment regime what is the position actually ?

iff last date is holiday than next working day would be due date

I think u can pay through epaymant mode on sunday also...so it is a default,...
Its a default in all cases as there is no such provision in act for relaxation.
However all depends on ur AO-TDS. Ours is an idiot, i explained him tht it was a sunday and he said ok.
Wait for notice, if it comes thn explain the position. There's no harm in both the cases - he accepts or not; as he'll also be charging a months interest. So its better to pay later.
