hi anas..........
i had passed CPT in august 2007...
so i do't have any knowledge about the present syllabus.....still i am sharing my experience about CPT exam....
firstly, just take a look at the syllabus and compare it with the amount of time you have.....
purchase question bank or scanner whatever is available from icai's sales counter ...
make a strategy keping in mind your strong and weak points....
make your own notes in objective type question answer style...(very important)
solve and revise every study material given by or purchased from ICAI.....(very important)
if u have any extra time left then only u can follow a book of outside market otherwise there is no need to follow a book of outside market.........
in the exam hall start with your strong point ,avoid guessworks.. chances of negative marking would be nullified automatically .......
cancel each option (of 4 options given) logically to reach to the correct answer...
secure pass marks first then go for additional marks
many students tries to answer all the questions with maximum guesswork which looks absurd to me......
do not panic ,hesitate,or confuse always use proper logical support to find out the correct answer......
if there id a confusion between two options use proper logic to find out the nearest one....
time is limited hence , you should have your own time management plan .......
best of luck..............
