I am belongs to orthopedically handicapped with 85%(As per my disability certificate) which was permanent disability.
Is there any need of documents to exempt from IT
Kindly clarify.

yes Mr Kumar ,you need to furnish a copy of the certificate issued by the medical authority specified by the central GOVT in form 10-IA and manner as prescribed in rule 11A of the income tax act 1962 to calim a deduction under section 80U of the income tax act 1961 along with the return of the income in respect of the assessment year for wich the deduction is claimed .
In form 10-IA, not mentioned about orthopedically disability. they mention other disabilities. kindly clarify
