I am a registered person in restaurant business and want to opt for qtrly Gstr 1 and monthly 3B payment how do I need to proceed with this my registration date of business is 5th jan19 ?
how can I pay tax on my income from 5th Jan to 31st Jan on 20th Feb in 3B?

yes you should file gstr 3b
Enter your sales from 5th jan to 31st jan in outward supplies and all other relevant details required in GSTR 3B for the said period.
Tick the option of filing gstr 1 quarterly .File gstr 1 in march and enter the sales details from 5th jan to 31st march in it,
In order to file return on quarterly basis first of all u have already availed the composition scheme even before starting of the financial year so as of now you cant avail such benefit unless you already opted.

Jan 2019 month return should be filed in next month before 20th.
turnover does not currently exceeds 1.5cr

3B should be filed on monthly basis.
GSTR1 can be filed on quarterly basis for turnover below 1.5 Crore.
