Hello everyone! I have my CA Final Examination due on this November i.e. November 2014. I will be unable to attend the tuition classes due to time constrain. Can I kindly be provided with appropriate reference book for respective subjects for self-preparation for examination? Also let me know strategy for self-preparation with respect to time? Awaited for your valuable suggestions and advices.

…..

You may refer the following books for your exam preparation –

Group 1 Books –

Financial Reporting – Best option is to join class for this subject (or arrange some class notes of any good teacher near your location - (In my view go for Praveen Sharma Class Notes). (Reference book : P C Tulsian or DG Sharma – but It should be your second choice if you are unable to arrange any class notes)

AS - Sanjeev Singhal (BEST) / D S Rawat (Easy one)

SFM - J B Gupta book with DVD Lactures (BEST) (Taxmann Publication).

Audit / SA – Pankaj Garg  with PM (Best and Sufficient for Exam) – Far better than surbhi bansal,

Law - Munish Bhandari Handbook (Plus Padhuka for detailed study, if you have sufficient time).

Group 2 Books –

AMA / Costing – J B Gupta  (BEST) plus Study Material, Compiler and Practice Manual (It is better to prepare your own notes for theory portion – Must cover theory given in Practice Manual).

ISCA – Manish Valechha (BEST) (Memory Based Edition)... it is Best book to secure high marks in ISCA. Very well written with awesome presentation… comprehensive and easy to understand... It explains all topics with examples, diagrams, memory codes (refer Study Material if you have sufficient time but not actually required). And at last, go through Practice manual for important questions.

Direct Taxes - T.N. Manoharan Plus Summary Module of Vinod Gupta (Prepare notes for lengthy and typical portion, if possible). You can also refer Vinod Gupta Full Modules Set If you are having sufficient time for preparation.

Indirect Taxes – N S Govindan for Concepts (BEST) (Vineet Sodhani or Bangar for Practice and Past Exam Questions).

Thanks a ton Rahul. I will surely consider it very very positively.

Thank you akhilesh rao. Will surely note that..

Go with Akhilesh's suggestions. Would like to suggest one change in that if u can afford - For ISCA go for module or at least support your studies with module.

For SFM for concepts - V pattabhiram is must if u don't have tutuions. For all practicle subjects contact your friends having tution and support your studies by atually solving problems from good classes (you can take photocopies of problem book and solutuon notebooks)

Right Sandeep. Thanks.

Can anybody plz suggest me about Ashish Kalra sir book? Can I go for self study with it..?

Can I go for Ashish Kalra book without taking coaching frm him?

For self study (strictly from an examination point of view),you have got 2 options:

1)v.pattabhiram(Best book in the market)+the latest practise manual

OR

2)J.B.GUPTA BOOK AND HIS DVD-u can watch its demo in youtube.

But neither of these options will be as effective as classroom coaching though.

As far as ur question regarding ashish kalra book is concerned......i am sorry as i don't have any information regarding his book but make no mistake about it- he definitely is one of the best faculties of SFM this country has to offer.

audit i hve surbhi bansal 5th edition 2011,so for november 2014 should i purchase new one,
