Nri tax liability

Hi,

 
A NRI cousin of mine recently sold some ancestral property and got his share of Rs 3,00,000/- from it. He doesnt have any other source of income in India.
Could you please advise if an NRI has any tax exceptions like other citizens?  How much is he liable to pay tax on this amount?

The income is to be shown in FBAR. For CG lets wait for others to reply.
