Very Nice one!

In a poor zoo of India, a lion was frustrated as he was offered not Morethan 1 kg of meat a day.

The lion thought its prayers were answered. When one day a Dubai Zoo Manager visited the zoo and requested the zoo management to shift the lion
to Dubai Zoo.

The lion was so happy and started thinking of a central A/C environment, a goat or two every day.

On its first day after arrival, the lion was offered a big bag, sealed
verynicely for breakfast. The lion opened it quickly but was shocked to
see that it contained few bananas. The lion thought that may be they cared
too much for him as they were worried about his stomach as he had recently
shifted from India .

The next day the same thing happened. On the third day again the same
foodbag of bananas was delivered.

The lion was so furious; it stopped the delivery boy and blasted at
him,'don't you know I am the lion...king of the Jungle..., what's wrong
with your management? What nonsense is this? Why are you delivering bananas
to me?

The delivery boy politely said, 'Sir, I know you are the king of the
jungle ...
but... you have been brought here on a monkey's visa !!! '

Moral of the Story....
Better to be a Lion in your own country than a Monkey elsewhere.

Yehhhhhhhhh, Good One

nice one

yup!!

It a very true story, and fully applies to Gulf positions.

We Indians compare the packaes offered by the Gulf emploers with the Indian offers. It is like comparing oranges with apples. In India supply of the qualified persons is more then the demand becuase of the high population and the middle class's stress on good education. Besides that so many people don't want to leave the comfort of their home town and the company of relatives. This makes the competition among the job seekers very severe with-in India.

We sell ourselves to the foreign employers at very low prices and feel very happy by getting marginally higher salaries then Indian offers. The same position if offered to any less qualified white people or the Arab national at least 4-5 times higher salary and grade then Indian candidates.

So while negotiating for any foreign (specailly Gulf and African) position, demand at least 4-5 times of your value in Indian job market and 2-3 levels higher then your managerial grade in India.  Besides that the Gulf employers don't understand CTC concept. So don't add the value of accommodation, car and other perks in your offer but do ask for them.

Good one !
