X- A cricketer promises to pay a certain amount of money to Y if he [X] does not score a century the next day..In return Y promises to pay the same amount of money to X if X scores a century tomorrow..This agreement is

i believe the answer is (B)...the contract is void as the object is unlawful

can it be void on any other grounds here..??

is the above mentioned contract wagering or contingent..?? 

Perhaps i should have elaborated why the object is unlawful. According to the Indian Contract Act the object is unlawful not only when it forbidden by any law, but also if the court regards that it is immoral or opposed to public policy.

It would also be void in case of a wager as it is immoral

On grouds of contingency i dont think there's anything wrong with the contract.
