We had paid TDS wrongly under Income Tax Act, 1961 instead of New Income Tax Act, 2025 for the month of April 2026 and the remaining months were correctly paid under Income Tax Act 2025. Now while filing TDS Return for the 1st quarter and go to download CSI file, we found that, one CSI file was under old Act another two CSI files were under New Act 2025. Even two CSI files with respect to two different Acts were possible to download separately, but one CSI file with respect to one Act will be uploaded for generating TDS return file. Kindly give your assistance about how to file TDS return?

When a TDS return contains challans deposited under mixed tax acts, you should reconcile the incorrect challan via online correction (such as through TRACES) to match the correct governing Act. Ensuring all challans correspond to the right Act and generating a unified, validated CSI file will prevent errors during quarterly TDS return filing.
