Login into Old Traces Portal

The old TRACES link isn't broken — it's been merged into the new portal after the 2026 revamp. Here's how to get to it:

1. Visit the TRACES portal (your old tdscpc.gov.in bookmark will auto-redirect to the new URL — traces.tdscpc.gov.in).
2. Log in with your existing User ID/TAN and password — no re-registration needed, your old credentials work as-is.
3. On the new homepage, click "Compliance under Income-Tax Act, 1961" — this opens the familiar old TRACES interface where Form 16/16A, Conso Files, Justification Reports, and Form 26AS are all available exactly as before.
4. From there: Downloads tab → Form 16A → select FY/Quarter → Submit request → wait for status to change from "Submitted" to "Available" → download.

Old Form 16A remains retrievable this way for FY 2007-08 onwards, so historical years aren't an issue.

If the redirect itself doesn't fire or the "Compliance" button doesn't appear, try a different browser (some users saw inconsistent behaviour across Chrome/Firefox/Edge post-revamp) or raise a grievance ticket with the TRACES helpdesk — this was a known glitch shortly after the April 2026 rollout.
