Hi! Can anyone please guide me whether the Companies Act, 2013 will be applicable for the CA Final Corporate Exam May 2014.

Yes it is, 98 sections of this act which has come into force will be applicable from May'14.

No notification came from icai yet, so don't fall in the trap of rumors. Just wait till ICAI notification and leave law for some time. As even I'm May 14 as well n doing the same.

The Institute will announce well in time about applicability of New Companies Act 2013 for May 2014 Exams

It is in interest of the profession and young professionals not to study the act which has already been repealed and replaced, its Companies Act,2013 that matters now not bulky 658 sections Companies Act,1956.

No...that was an bill not an act.... still no notification from regarding the applicability of this bill in recent exam

It was mentioned in one of the student`s journal that new co bill is applicable for may 14 exam.

For CA Ankit Bohra.. Sir please update urself its not a bill now it has been passed as an act and is now Companies Act 2013 and not companies bill..
