If I submit ITR 4 for the AY 2006-07 (with TDS certificate - refund is there), what will be the penalty.

Sir, i could not understand u r question. i think u would like to file income tax return for the A.Y.2006-07 to get back TDS deduted from u at the time of payment. Is it correct. U didn't get TDS refund now. To get TDS refund u should file u r income tax return with 2 years from the date of financial year ending of which income relats. i.e u should be file the return for the A.Y.2006-07 on or before 31-3-2008 then only u get back the TDS refund.

Belated Return should be filed before one year from the end of relevant A.Y.
For A.Y. 2006-07 - the date is 31.03.2008.........
You cannot file ur return now......

No penalty..... as you are not allowed to file ITR for AY 2006-07 now....... the last date was 31/03/2008........

Please provide amount of your Gross Total Income, Net Taxable Income and the TDS amount, to advise you on this matter.
