Sir, if the employer's contribution towards NPS is not a component of salary slip then can it be treated as a deduction in filling ITR or not?

Yes, you can get deductions.
But, If the employer can't show this in FORM 16. You can get intimation from ITD for mismatch FORM 16 into ITR.
