There are too many issues with ITR-2 online filing with application getting hung and asking for non-required fields as mandatory.
I went with offline excel utility and was able to get through will correct calculations. However while generating JSON, it is stuck after 33.33% of JSON encryption. There are no further messages / errors.
Any indications on how to proceed further ?

I have filed my ITR-2 online myself (not a CA) and overcome a few validation errors, After I see the preview of the return and want to upload the return, I get a upload error.

Error Descripttion
[#/ITR/ITR2/ScheduleESOP/DPIITRegNo: string does not match pattern DIPP[0-9]{3,5}, #/ITR/ITR2/Schedule ESOP/PanofStartUp: string does not match pattern [A-Z]{5}[0-9]{4}[A-Z]]
It looks to be an error pertaining to the ESOP page. I have removed that schedule from the return, as it does not pertain to me. I am retired and do not have ESOPs
Has anyone else faced this problem ? Please advise.

Search in the Forum, there are other threads, where we have given replies to your problem.
If you are using the excel utility, then just drop it.
Use the Standalone Offline Utility, and you will succeed in filing ITR-2.
