Go for this course.... U will enjoy this profession & u are very intelligent...... ALL THE BEST.

Yep, its useless!

Don't do it!

If you are really interested in Accounting and Finance, do Cost Accountancy!

However, this is only my view!!!

CA IS THE BEST PROFESSION

/forum/why-ca-is-a-total-waste--229029.asp#.ULws24b4J-c

IT IS NO BETTER THAN B.COM.

CA'S USED TO HAVE DEMAND EARLIER DUE TO DEFICIENCY IN NUMBERS.

BUT NOW THEY ARE HEAPS!

NO INTERNATIONAL DEMAND, DOESN'T WORK HERE IN INDIA AFTER 10 YEARS.

IT'S BETTER TO DO ENGINEERING AND PUT YOUR EFFORT ON IT.

YOU WILL ATLEAST END UP GETTING AN ADMISSION IN A TOP UNIVERSITY

DO NOT WASTE YOUR EFFORTS ON CA

IT'S A WASTE PROFESSION

DEAR GURRAM GANESH,

PLEASE DO NOT DO CA.

IF YOU ARE WEALTHY ENOUGH TO DO YOUR UNDERGRADUATE IN USA ( 4 YEAR DEGREE) PLEASE DO IT.

OTHERWISE GET INTO A GOOD OR AVERAGE ENGINEERING COLLEGE AND TRY TO GET OVER 70% IN YOUR ENGINEERING.

BEST BRANCHES ARE CSC, ECE,EIE,EEE,IT.

YOU WILL GET GOOD JOB IN INDIA ALSO

GUARENTEE DEGREE AFTER 4 YEARS!

PLAN FOR MASTERS AND GET ADMISSION INTO GOOD UNIVERSITY. MY FRIENDS ARE EARNING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS PER ANNUM.

PLEASE DONOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND AGE ON CA

CA'S USED TO HAVE DEMAND PREVIOUSLY. BUT NOW, THE TIME YOU COMPLETE CA WILL BE AFTER 5 YEARS DO NOT EXPECT JOB EASILY WITH HUGE PACKAGES!

DO NOT TAKE CA COURSE

Please do not decide what you are going to do, solely on the basis of public opinion. Though you may take suggestions and guidance from the people, the decision should be solely yours. Whether you do CA, CMA, CS or simply graduation, you yourself should be feeling motivated and should be willing to go for it by your own analysis and will, and not just on the basis of public opinion.

Having said that, Chartered Accountancy is the most respected profession that you can have being a Commerce student. One may argue about the credibility and employability of the Chartered Accountants at the moment, but the prospects are equally bright and rewarding.

So, you know the better of you and know what your strengths and weaknesses are, and take a decision on the basis of that only. And as asked about Chartered Accountancy, it will always be a symbol of pride and glory.

All the best for your endeavors.

Hi Ganesh.,

I suggest you prefer the course that interests you most...not on the basis of good or bad but on the basis of your own personal interest...

there are many up's and down's attached with CA like every other course..no one can say its the best course or the worst course...

If you choose to study CA basing on your own interest..weather good or bad u will be ready to face it...

At the end ( ie...by the time u turn 50) what you studied is not going to be a concern how you are using it ( what ever qualification ),how you are exploring it only matters...

Now you may think of joining CA because of the hipe given by coaching institutes..but you should not go by what other say...

What ever you gonna join will change your life .....so think well before you take a decision...

U didnt mention the stream u r in (science or commerce)...

If you are a commerce person you can consider CA is best for you...

If you are a science person you  can try for IIT engineering + MBA from B school...

Being a CA you will have reputation and respect (no doubt in that )..they money u are going to earn vary depending on you..that to you can make more money in the long run ...in the begining after you finish your ca the remuneration you get is comparitivly less...(less revard for the effort you put in)

being an engineer from iit and top up with b school mba ...you will have a better career from the begining itself .....

consider your requirements....ambition in your life...proceed acording to that...

all the best ..take a wise decision considering both sides of every possible course for you....

Dear Ganesh,

CA is the nice profession  (not Useless as you & others think) only if you are interested in. Irrespct of the Present Scenario.

I am Sure the time will change & the scenario will be good enough.

If you want to test this course on the basis of its utility, you may never be able to form an unbiased opinion. If you want to take up career for something more than monetary benefits, CA is the best cource. It covers all the field of work, be it science or arts and at the end you ll realise that you know something about everythng. This is what i have known from the people who have always been providing me the best guidances. But, you have to decide whether the subjects in this profession really interest you, without interest even simple thhings seem 'useless'!

Totally Agree with Kinjal..

People who criticize CA course for them it is Like GRAPES ARE SOUR...

Hey GNB,

R u a CA ?? if u r, please surrender ur Membership No. & then try for a Job, then ul know the value of that degree.

Mr.GIRISH, MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS.

WHO THE HELL ARE YOU TO TELL ME?

I EXPRESSED MY OPINION HERE. I DID NOT DEMAND!

SUCH A SHAME!

if u do nat have faith in ca,join any other courses.ca requires faith, truust in ur self and belef.

simplest answer is do it if u love numbers.every course is good. u have time,  go to sites of different  universities u will come to know about many courses. CA is a great course. there are many lines after it. a very famous teacher of CA says that during CA know you area of further interest and do specialization in that u will definitely succeed. for example my personal interest is IT and finance. so i am doing CA and will do MCA afterwards. so i will combine IT and finance. CA is internationally recognised for example if u want to be CA in canada and u have done CA in india then u need to give just 2-3 exams. that to becoz laws and tax matters of countries differ from each other. my suggestion is analyse every possible thing u can and decide. all the best
