Invoice No sequence

We have been using invoice no sequence for the last 15 years. That is  19-20 final invoice no was 2225.

20-21 First invoice No 2226.

Is it compulsory to start invoice no from 1 ?

No nothing like that.. can continue with 2226

No it's not mandatory you can continue with 2226... but make sure that must be unique in FY.
