An invoice is a must document to collect GST or even to claim ITC, whether under regular mechanism or RCM. Further, the invoice shall contain following information:
- Name of the party with address and PIN code
- State Code
- GSTIN of Parties
- Tax Invoice Number
- Descripttion of Good or Services
- Amount of Tax levied (separate)
- Date of raising invoice
- HSN/SAC codes
- Applicable rate of GST (Rates of CGST, SGST, IGST, UTGST and cess clearly mentioned)
- Total value of supply of goods/services
- Signature of the supplier
- Whether GST is payable on reverse charge basis
