Export under ecommerce

368 views 1 replies

Hello, My client is e-commerce exporter. He is planning on manufacturing here in India ships to Amazon warehouse and then sale from their platform.

My question is in whose name export invoice be drawn given its not actually a sale, he ships it to Amazon warehouse, the ownership is still with him until it's sold. Secondly what should be invoice amount given he can change the selling price per unit anytime he wishes based on the weekdays/weekend traffic.

To elaborate the second question, If he exports at say Rs. 100/- (including his margin), + usa customs 25/- and + transportation of 25/-, the selling price he receives can be anything between 125-250. In that case the remitence received will not match the shipping bill with the customs and AD code registered bank. How do he explain the extra credit/shortfall when questioned by RBI.

Please advise.
