Exemption clause

Dear Friends,

i had cleared ipcc 1st group in Nov 2011. in first group i  secured an exemtion in law. now in may 2012 i am going to appear for 2nd group. IF i secure an exemtion in any one of the three subjects , is that exemption counted by ICAI or not.

Regarding this i raised a query to e-sahayata also, but i dint got appropriate reply. They are telling as after securing an exemtion you will not be eligibile for one more exemption in the same group.

but here i am asking about second group.

pls help me...

Hope the attachment from ICAI's site helps.

Hai Swathi...!!!

There is group wise exemption like group wise result.

In your case, You had already cleared grp-I.

So, if you got any exemption in the second grp, definitely you can claim in the next attempt.

ICAI also correctly said in a reply to you.

As, if you got any exemption in one of the subjects in one grp, then if you got exemption in another subject of the same grp in the next attempt, then you can not claim that 2nd exemption as you have already claimed one sub exemption in that grp in the previous attempt.

If you got 2 subjects in the same grp as exemption in single attempt, then you can claim 2 sub. as exemption in the next attempt.

I hope it is clear..!!!

thanks alot for replies.smiley

OK...RIGHT EXPLAIN ABOVE..

DO NOT THINK ABOUT EXEMPTION.

THINK ABOUT PASS ,& HOW TO PASS

Sir i have got 2 exmptions in group 1 having 69 and   64 marks. So to pass in next attmpt i should get minimun 50% i.e 100 marks in remaining two papers...?
