How should i study direct tax for May 2017 exams. I had taken classes for May 2016 exams from VG sir and thus i have modules of Finance Act 2015. Should I buy new modules or only amendment module will suffice. Also should I study PM and Case Study Modules separately. Pl. help Thank you

Amendment module is enough, if u don't understand any then u have to go into depth. Once go through PM, case study module of Institute, it will give u confidence and even u will know whether all topics are covered or not.

The amendment module will be sufficient to help you learn the changes in the law. Of late, there have been questions from PM and RTP and so you must go through them. Case laws are also very important as they can fetch you atleast 16 marks in the exam. If time permits, you can also try solving the mock test papers provided in the Institute website.

Have you read Vinod Gupta sir's amendment module? If so, does it contain recent case laws?
Actually i want to keep the number of books to refer to the lowest and increase the quality not quantity. Thus I was looking for a book with most of the changes. Otherwise I refer to study amendment module, case laws module and PM separately.
For case laws.. refer the cases issued by ICAI relevant for May 17 exams.
Vg sir summary and past years question(may be from vg's or manual) together with rtp.Relevant case laws is most important. Direct 16 marks questions come from case laws.
