Please suggest when mediclaim policy is made on Joint Name of Husband & Wife.,Who will eligible to claim deduction U/S 80D when income of both husband & wife are taxable under income tax act. ?

Any one of them can claim the deduction
The person who has paid the premium can only claim the deduction.

The person, whose bank account has been debited with the amount of premium shall be eligible for deduction.
