Registered Office Clarification Required

Hi Mr. Gurinder,

It will be better to have the registered office of the proposed LLP in Mumbai as you also wish to have the same and for that you may provide the copy of recent property tax paid  challan or water bill paid or electricity bill paid (containing the complete address of the premises)

Since the Mumbai house is in my father's name, would the ROC accept the utility bills in my father's name (note: my father's name will be with ROC since it is mentioned in my DPIN) or would I have to get some sort of NOC from my father stating that he has no objection on the address being mentioned as RO.

Is there any pre-requisite from ROC's side in this regard.

Dear Mr. Gurinder,

The Registrar of LLP asks for proof of the registered office only and not the NOC from the owner for using such address as RO, still for safer side please get NOC in the form of affidavit (on appropriate value of stamp paper- In Mumbai it's Rs. 100) from your father stating that he is legal owner of the said property and he has no objection for RO of the proposed LLP.
