I got a demand notice from IT dept for some amount.whereas in the notice my name and address were correctly mentioned but the PAN number given is not of mine. for my original pan I submitted my tax returns and was given a bronze certificate.
I don't know how to rise this issue with IT dept.

If the PAN indicated in the notice, is not related to you, just reply the notice with the fact to your Jurisdictional ITO in writting, with a copy of your original PAN submitted alongwith. Keep its acknowledgement for your records.
Don't pay until the PAN is related to you.
There may be mistake with department.
Inform the concern department in writing, hand over personally or by post duly acknowledged.
