Can llp become a director in a private company?

We are running a private limited company and now wants to convert it in to LLP. At present there are only two individual directors. Now the directors propose to convert Private Ltd. Co. in to LLP. And both the Directors is thinking to give resignation from the Company as a Director and desirous of becoming a director through their LLP firm.

So whether  LLP can become a Director in a Private Company?
