Permission to be Granted specifically by the council to a member as stated in Appendix no. 9 for
Office of Managing Director or a whole-time Director of a body corporate within the meaning of the Companies Act, 1956, provided that the member and/or his relatives do not hold substantial interest in such a concern.
To my Knowledge,
An Auditor Can be the Director for a Company, Unless he is the EMPLOYEE or have ANY OTHER RELATIONSHIP with that Company for being the STATUTORY AUDITOR.
For INTERNAL AUDIT it doesn't the matter.
CA Can be a director of a company. If he is holding COP he cannot be a full time or part time director getting any remuneration but can be only a director and this position has to be informed to the Institute.
