hi I am a cs and searching for my cs training and intending to do ca but do i have to do the IT training and articleship of ca also?

Yeah both the requirements are independent and you need to comply them in order to follow the laid down rules and regulations.

Yes u have to undergo IT Training and articleship in order to complete CA even if you dont require membership because u cannot appear for IPCC without IT Training and completion of a certain amount of period in articleship and also for ur final exams u either have to complete ur articleship or should have only 6 months of articleship to be completed.

Accounting Technician Course (ATC)
A candidate may opt for Accounting Technician Course. Such a candidate has to undergo a study course of nine months, 35 hours Orientation Programme and 100 hours Information Technology Training before appearing in Accounting Technician Examination (ATE). It is to be noted that Group I of IPCC is equivalent to ATC. After passing ATE, he will also be required to complete 12 months of work experience and on production of a certificate to this effect he will be issued Accounting Technician Certificate. A candidate who does not wish to complete erstwhile Intermediate/PE-II/PCC/IPCC can opt for ATC.
