For AY 2015-16, you cannot file ITR normally, unless you have any refund claim.
For that an application is to be made u/s. 119(2)(b) as per link

As presently For AY 2017-18......... preceeding six years means AY 2011-12 to AY 2015-16........ [AY 2016-17 purposefully not included for section 119(2)(b)]

any IT section saying 2016-17 not to be included
