Rejection of income tax return

11 November 2013 Return of AY 2011-12 has been e- filled on 29/03/2012.. but acknwldgmnt doesnt send to banglore ..upto due date.. & acknwlgmnt send in oct 2013.. & on 28/3/2013 recd by department..& the return has been rejected.. plzz tell me..is there is any more procedure?? & their net income is non taxable but GTI is taxable income.. is it may cause any problm in future regarding rejection of return of AY 2011-12??

13 November 2013 is there is any procedure to accept the return??
or Can i send any letter to banglore department so that they can accept the letter??

13 November 2013 unfortunately no Bhavya. But you need not worry at all.

13 November 2013 In future..department cant send notice regarding not filling of return of that year..??

13 November 2013 Yes. department can send such a notice. In such a scenario, reply to the said notice stating the details of the return filed and state that it was rejected on account of late submission of ITRV. As long as you have paid your tax liabilities, no worries.

13 November 2013 is their is any penalty regarding that?

13 November 2013 I dont think u need to worry that much. Just keep the filings for other years upto date. Income tax department doesn't spend that much time on small returns.
