HI Suppose a salaried person is paying a rent of more than one lakh in a year and as per notification Of CBDT now he is required to submit PAN number Of landlord. Now if Landlord is not providing the his PAN details and the tenant is actually paying rent of more than One Lakh p.a as rent so what all steps tenent can take to show the company that he is paying rent more than One Lakh but landlord is willingly not providing Pan Number to him. And suppose tenent submitts the agreement copy in absense of PAN details of landlord will it work.

But Guys dont You think that because the pan in not being provided by Landlord intensionally the salaried person is is facing undue harrasment as he will not be able to show the pan details of landlord as he may be paying rent more than 100000 P.A

But in my case situation is like i am paying a rent of Rs 12000 Per Month and i am having the rent agreement with me but my landlord is willingly not giving me his PAN number as he is saying that i hane not shown my this property in my Balance Sheet. As i am getting a HRA of 14000 So what should i do know, as after paying the rent more than 100000 PA i will get lesser HRA exemption. Please advise what can i do

If u find his date of birth then nikhil sir will find ur landlords pan number which will help u in getting HRA deduction....so its question of saving tax legally for those many years u stay in rented house....so dont give up...use extra brain n somehow find out his date of birth.
