Put up in a unit container

12 September 2017 We buy fresh chicken and then we freeze this. We do not pack on register brand and we do not pack any uniform packing like 1kg,2kg etc. We pack in bulk unevenly like 11kg,17kg or whatever as much as in big polybag. Then sell to hotels or caterer in bulk.
So do we fall in GST and is this still a put up in a unit container. We have sale around 50-60 lakh per year. Are we eligible for composition and what will be rate.

12 September 2017 You don't fall under selling in unit container as you are selling in bulk to hotels. Selling in 1kg and 2 kg packs only attract GST. Hence GST not applicable to you.

12 September 2017 What is maximum weight wise packing limit which attract GST? I mean as you said 1kg, 2kg.
Do big packs like 10_12-13 kg attract GST?

12 September 2017 It will be 1,2,5,10 kgs.

14 September 2017 Hello, some other accountant told me that like boneless, drumsticks etc we can make a uniform packing of accurate weight, then we have to pay the GST, BUT like full chicken which could not be uniformly packed, I e every chicken piece has different weight, then we need not to pay GST.

14 September 2017 In such a case no need to pay GST.

14 September 2017 Sir, is this possible that you provide me with any written evidence or definition?
It will be easy to put up a discussion with authority.
