    Hi We sold a property and want to pay the LTCG tax. My father was allotted a plot in Noida and he constructed a house on this plot and the dates are: allotment - 23/6/91 possession - 27/05/1993 registration - 09/06/1997 Map approved - 30/09/97 completion Certificate - 11/09/98 We sold the ploy in 2014 Transfer Deed cum Sale deed - 8/9/2014 MY QUESTIONS: 1. WHICH YEAR'S CII SHOULD WE USE TO CALCULATE THE LONG TERM CAPITAL GAIN? 2. We have given a 2% brokerage to the broker. Can we deduct that from the amount received from the seller? If yes, what proof do we need for that? 3. We don't have all the receipts from the time when we constructed the house. How can we prove how much we spent as most of the money was spent in cash which my grandfather gave to my father for construction.(all cash). Thanks for your help... Gaurav
