CAN ANY BODY TELL ME THAT HOW CAN I CHANGE STATUS OF PERSON IN PAN DATA.
FOR EXAMPLE IF BY FAULT ANY ASSESSEE HAS APPLIED FOR PAN GIVING HIS STATUS AS LOCAL AUTHORITY IN SPITE OF INDIVIDUAL.
THEN HOW CAN HE CHANGE IT FROM LOCAL AUTHORITY TO INDIVIDUAL. AND WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO CORRECT THIS TYPE OF MISTAKE IN PAN DATA.
PLEASE SEND ME ANY SOLUTION...

this is not possible u need to surrender the existing pan and apply for new pan with new status.

to file itr with the existing pan only u can get tds refund.

AND IF TDS HAS BEEN DEDUCTED FROM APRIL TO JULY'2013 THEN WHAT CAN I DO...Means when it is profitable to me to surrender the existing pan no.

it will be beneficail to surrender when u dont have income that needs to be dedeuct tds like in last week or march and then apply for pan or delay ur income for sometiime sothat u can get ur pan number new and u may be fred from all tds problms of old pan lifetime.

first surrender the existing pan and then appply for new pan.
