Capital gain

01 July 2012 If the person has only one source of income i.e. Capital Gain then whether he will be eligible for deduction u/s 80C or not? And if he is not eligible for the same then under which section it is mentioned?

01 July 2012 He is eligible to get 80C deduction only out of Short Term Capital Gains which are not covered under Section 111A.

It can be said in case of Normal STCG -80C
available.

In case of any LTCG or STCG in shares etc.
80C is not available.
