Report on Campus Placement Programme – February-March, 2015*

The Committee for Members in Industry (CMII) of ICAI organizes Campus Placement Programmes for Newly Qualified Chartered Accountants twice in a year and is committed to provide world class placement services to the Members and best accounting and finance talents to the industry.

In its endeavor to provide quality Accounting, Finance, Tax, Audit and Management Consultancy personnel to recruiting entities, the Committee has successfully organised one more round of Campus Placement Programme for Newly Qualified Chartered Accountants at nineteen centres viz. Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Thane & Vasai in February-March, 2015.

Executive Summary

1. Highest salary offered for Domestic posting in the Campus Placement Programme is Rs. 21.50 lacs Per Annum offered by Bharti Airtel at New Delhi center to 2 candidates.

2. Highest salary offered for International posting in the Campus Placement Programme is Rs. 30 Lacs per annum offered by Tolaram Group at Bengaluru & Kolkata center to 8 candidates.

3. Average CTC offered is Rs 7.20 Lacs Per Annum.

4. 1370* jobs were offered to the candidates who had participated in Campus Placement Programme.

5. 90 organizations and 183 Interview Teams have participated during the Campus Placement Programme.

6. Religare Finvest Limited had participated in the Second Round of Campus Interviews conducted in April 2015 at Bangalore centre (10 offered and 9 accepted) and at Mumbai centre (11 offered and 11 accepted).

7. Blue Dart Express Limited had participated in the Second Round of Campus Interviews conducted in May 2015 at Mumbai centre (5 offered and 5 accepted).

Salient features

1. Candidates were given two chances to meet the recruiting organisations via opting for two centers, first at smaller center and second (if the candidates has not been selected at smaller centers) at bigger centers.

2. The committee organised Orientation Programme for candidates so as to sharpen their soft skills and to provide them technical updates.
