All about Campus Placements for May 18 Qualified CAs

Who can appear for the Campus Placements?

As the ICAI announced results for CA Final May'18 on the 20th July 2018, about 7,137 students became eligible to appear for ICAI Campus Placements, the registration of which begins on and from 24th July'18 for May'18 pass out candidates.

Candidates who passed out prior to May'18 but could not appear regular campus due to certain reasons, are now eligible for August-September'18 and their online registration already began on and from 1st July 18.

Also, those who qualified in May'18 should complete their articleship by 31st October 2018, and those who qualified in May 2017 and November 2017 or whose CA Final results were declared in revaluation/re verification after 28th February, 2018, should be completing their articleship between 1st May, 2018 and 31st October, 2018 and must not have applied in earlier Campus Placement Programme. If not, then the candidate has to wait for the next campus placement session.

What will be the last date of registrations?

However, last date of registration for both the categories will be 2nd of August'18 and no extension of date will be possible, if you opt for one bigger and one smaller centre. However, registration only for smaller centres will remain open till 20th Aug'18.

For the bigger centres, namely: Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Pune, the candidates will be expected to give their online consent to the companies that have shortlisted them latest by 11th to 13th August'18 and Written or Pyschometric tests will start by 21st August'18 and so on.

For the smaller centres, namely: Durgapur, Earnakulum, Kanpur, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Indore and Thane, the candidates will be expected to give their online consent to the companies that have shortlisted them latest by 8th September'18 and Written or Pyschometric tests will start by 13th Spetember'18 and so on.

What are scheduled dates for the Campus Interview?

The Registration shall be done at the website : https://cmib.icai.org using the CA Final roll number.

Also, completion of GMCS/MCS course is mandatory for appearing in the Campus Placements, or they might ask you to write a tentative date of completion of such course. But it is advised to complete the same well in advance.

Also, the candidates are free to choose maximum 4 companies of their choice and give consent for attending those interviews on specified date(s) for bigger and smaller centres, in the event of not being selected at a bigger centre. Attending Orientation Programme is mandatory at any of the 9 bigger centres. In the event of not being selected in bigger centre but if the candidate wishes to change the smaller centre, one can do so through portal on 1st – 2nd September, 2018 (up to 5:00 P.M.).

In the event of not joining the company after signing the Declaration Form, candidates have to pay a Commitment Charges of Rs. 5,000/ (Rupees Five Thousand) and such behaviour would be viewed seriously as it blocks the opportunity of others and affects the schedule of that company.

A candidate who has completed GMCS/Articleship but yet to attain 21 years of age to secure ICAI membership, is required to seek special permission through email at cajob@icai.in, for attending Campus.
