FAQ :

The 'One Nation One Ration Card' system allows beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act and other welfare schemes, including migrant workers, to collect their rations from any Fair Price Shop nationwide.

Nine states have been issued a total of Rs 23,523 crore in additional borrowing permissions upon completing the reform.

The states that have successfully completed the reform are Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Tripura, and Uttar Pradesh.

States had to complete reforms related to the Public Distribution System, including Aadhar Seeding of all Ration Cards, biometric authentication of beneficiaries, and automation of Fair Price Shops.

The states had to complete these reforms by 31st December 2020 to be eligible for the additional borrowing.

Yes, other reforms that can be preconditions for additional borrowing include ease of doing business, urban local body/utility reforms, and power sector reforms.
