The validity of Udyog Aadhaar Memorandums (UAMs) and EM Part-II has been extended from 31st March 2021 to 31st December 2021.
The extension is due to the hardships faced by MSMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic and representations received from MSME associations and financial institutions.
MSMEs can continue to avail benefits under various existing schemes and incentives, including Priority Sector Lending benefits.
The new system is called Udyam Registration, which was launched on 1st July 2020.
Enterprises can register on the Udyam portal at https://udyamregistration.gov.in free of cost, requiring only PAN and Aadhaar for registration.
