The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has extended the deadline for filing e-form DIR-3 KYC and web-form DIR-3 KYC-WEB without payment of fees. As per General Circular No. 04/2025 dated September 29, 2025, directors can now complete their KYC compliance until October 15, 2025, without incurring any late filing charges.
Earlier, the last date for filing was September 30, 2025. However, following suggestions and representations received from stakeholders, the ministry has granted this extension to provide additional relief and ensure smooth compliance.

The DIR-3 KYC filing is a mandatory annual compliance requirement for all directors, ensuring that their personal details and contact information remain updated in the MCA records. Failure to file within the prescribed timeline usually attracts a penalty and results in the director’s DIN (Director Identification Number) being marked as "Deactivated."
With this extension, directors get an additional 15 days to complete their filings, thereby reducing compliance stress and avoiding potential penalties.
