FAQ :
The Excel utilities for ITR-1 and ITR-4 for Assessment Year 2026-27 were released on 15th May 2026.
ITR-1 is for resident individuals with a total income up to Rs. 50 lakh, having income from salary, two house properties, other sources (like interest), long-term capital gains up to Rs. 1.25 lakh, and agricultural income up to Rs. 5,000.
ITR-4 is for resident individuals, HUFs, and firms (excluding LLPs) with a total income up to Rs. 50 lakh, having income from business and profession computed under sections 44AD, 44ADA, or 44AE, and long-term capital gains up to Rs. 1.25 lakh.
The total income limit for both ITR-1 and ITR-4 is up to Rs. 50 lakh.
The Excel utilities for ITR-1 and ITR-4 for AY 2026-27 have been released by the Income Tax Department.
