The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) has extended the deadline for its Mandatory Capacity Building Training (MCBT). Practising members who obtained their Certificate of Practice (COP) on or after 1st February 2019, and have not yet completed the MCBT, now have until 31st December 2022 to do so. This extension aims to prevent hardship for members seeking to renew their COP for 2022-23.

FAQ :
The deadline for completing the Mandatory Capacity Building Training (MCBT) has been extended to 31st December 2022.
Practising members who obtained their Certificate of Practice (COP) on or after 1st February 2019 and have not yet undergone the MCBT are eligible.
The extension has been granted to prevent hardship for members who rely on their practice and wish to renew their COP for 2022-23, but have not yet completed the mandatory training.
A Cost Accountant is required to undergo mandatory training before applying for a Certificate of Practice or within six months of getting it.
COP stands for Certificate of Practice.
